My family of 4 just got back from the Carnival Splendor April 26, 2009 and this is how it went:

We were in cabin #2409 regular outside. Our party was my husband 49, I 43 and boy 5 and girl 3. Everyone is platinum except the girl and adults have 25 cruises with Carnival. I do have to say that for several reasons this was our worst cruise ever.

We got to the port of Long Beach just at 2 PM on the 26th to board. They have done a bit of construction at the pier and now they have a little building on the left for platinum and V.I.P. types. In the back of the building on the left are some restrooms. I think they are new but look old. I did not go in. You can get to these restrooms from the outside as well. Read more
