We had a wonderful time on the Norwegian Jewel! It started with leaving our car in a prepaid parking garage across the street from the cruise terminal, and then a very simple check-in process for boarding the ship. Our suitcase arrived to our cabin shortly after the ship left the pier.

The ship was very clean, in very good condition, and the staff were smiling and very helpful throughout the cruise. There were ship diagrams (maps) by all the elevators and stairs to keep us from getting lost. Tons of food to select from at the buffet and some nice specialty restaurants also (we went to three of them). We were surprised at how nice the complementary restaurants were, and would have been very happy just eating at those. Every afternoon there was a huge complementary barbecue on the pool deck with various themes. There were also lots of activities throughout the ship. The magician/comedian was especially fun.

Our cabin was a bit larger than we had expected, very clean and kept that way by our super steward who was alway interested if we were having a good time onboard and ashore, and if there was anything he could do to make it better. The best part of our room was the balcony. We enjoyed sitting out there watching the scenery go by.

The cabin was very clean and in great condition, and kept that way by our awesome steward. The balcony was the best part, and we enjoyed just sitting out there watching the view go by, (ships, islands, whales, porpoises, and glaciers).
