This was our fourth time sailing on RCI. The last time we sailed (Our 30th wedding anniversary) we were aboard the newest at the time Allure of the Seas. It was the biggest ship of the line at the time as well. We were going to one of the oldest and smallest ships so we had a few reservations at first. They were soon put to rest. The ship is a bit dated, and in need of the April 2017 refit, but we really enjoyed it! The crew made the trip a blast. Andre (activities director) was awesome and full of energy. We had a junior suite (rather nice size with seating area and bathroom even had a bathtub! There was a super large balcony with two chairs and table. I recommend it if you can swing the extra $s We were on deck 8 right near the pool deck.

Shows were awesome - hilarious comics aboard as well as a cappella group. Lots of fun in Centrum but felt a bit cramped to get everyone there to see the cool 70's show and the aerial show. We noticed that while there were opportunities for portraits, they weren't as many as on other ships. Guess we owe that to the selfie sticks.

Solarium was very nice (not as good as Allure for sure) but nice. The retractable roof was always closed so it got a bit warm in there. They are installing a sulfur scrubber and that impedes the retractable roof from opening.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Very nice cabin. Large balcony with table and 2 chairs. Kind of weird as there is a support pole in this room, cool if you wish to practice stripper pole dance routine but we kind of got used to it being there. Not sure if other JS had them or was it just ours? Tons of storage places (not a lot of room under the bed though). Suite bathrooms were great size even had a tub. Felt a bit like a spa in there. Nice appointments. We loved our stay in this cabin. Maybe the nicest we have stayed in. We recommend the suite if you can swing it.
