We were looking for a cruise that was destination focused rather than a ship whose primary focus was the cruise itself. Fine food, no small children, a five star environment was high on our list of requirements. The ship was beautiful, the shore tours were great, and the service was beyond expectations. We liked the smaller ship environment rather than the mega ships that seem to dominate the cruise industry today. The "Chef'sTable" restaurant, serving four course meals with wine pairings was excellent and included in the cruise price. We chose Viking in part because we were impressed with our experience on one of their river cruises and that proved to be a good comparison. They've transferred their great reputation on rivers to the sea successfully. One word of caution, if you're looking for gambling or a family vacation, this isn't your cruise. If you're looking for an exceptional, all included, adult experience in exceptional quarters with exceptional cuisine, then this is the one.
