Embarkation was a breeze. We were Aqua class so boarding time was 1030, and we were on the ship by 11 and pretty much had the entire buffet to ourselves. From the time we boarded until we left, the service by the crew was prompt and personable. We ate in the Blu Restaurant everyday, and the food was fabulous, and the someilleir (sp?) was very attentive to the different tastes of the 8 of us. We all had a drink package which makes things easier.

In Ketchikan, we did the float plane over Misty Fjords excursion. We flew for 30 minutes over gorgeous land and landed in the water. We then boarded a boat for a 60 mile return trip. The guide aboard was very knowledgeable, but in all candor, the boat trip lasted about an hour too long. Not to worry because they served hot chocolate. Great trip.

In Juneau, we did the helicopter ride to a dog sled camp. It was awesome. Again, about a 30 minute flight over the mountains and glaciers -- simply breathtaking. We then landed and rode/drove a dog sled pulled by a team of sweet huskies. Highly recommend this tour. Both flight tours are very pricey, and if you have to pick one, pick the helicopter/dog sled trip. Be careful to book the one on the glacier bc I think some excursion had a dog team puling a sled on wheels.

Cabin A1

it's a cruise ship cabin, but plenty big. Room stewards were awesome.
