The equinox is a beautiful ship. We arrived at the port about noon and quickly registered and boarded the ship. We went directly to the buffet for lunch. As soon as we finished eating, they announced our rooms were ready. Our checked bags arrived at our stateroom about 3 pm. We unpacked and then attended the mandatory drill.
The crew was fantastic and provided excellent service in our stateroom as well as the dining room. The food in the main dining room was excellent so we never visited any specialty restaurants. The food in the oceanview buffet was good as well and we ate breakfast there several times.
This cruise was port intensive and we spent much time ashore. It was a nice to come back to cold washcloths and water after our day. The ports were all excellent. We did not take any ship excursions, instead booking private excursions with members of our roll call.
The cabin was clean and we there is plenty of room for storage. The closet had many hangers for clothes. We stored our luggage and dirty laundry under the bed. The bathroom also had plenty of storage. Nice bar in the shower for shaving legs.
Took the bus tour around town. The farmers market was interesting with many cheeses, meats and fruits for sale. The port was very crowded with four ships in the port that day. The beach looks lovely and I highly recommend a visit to one of the beaches.
Visited the cathedral. Took the hop on hop off bus around the city. Had tapas and sangria at a local restaurant. Visited the local beach which was lovely
