Sail Date: Jul 2016
Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

This was our second seven-nighter aboard the beautiful Oasis of the Seas. The first time we sailed was in the summer of 2013, and we L O V E D it. The good news is that much of our experience this time was consistent with the first cruise.

The one important exception: food.

Maybe it's our imaginations (though I highly doubt it), but Royal Caribbean seems to have cut some corners in terms of the quality, variety and quantity of food it serves. For us, the Main Dining Room experience was an absolute highlight of our first two Royal Caribbean voyages (Oasis in 2013 and Freedom in 2014).

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

We just took a water taxi and went shopping in Phillipsburg. Scored some David Yurman with a 10% discount and no taxes, so I was happy!

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We stayed at the Marriott Harbour Beach Resort for two nights prior to the cruise. It wasn't cheap, but it was a great and relaxing hotel. We were able to walk to the main strip on Ft. Lauderdable Beach, where we enjoyed some good food and shopping.
