  • Sail Date: May 2016
  • Destination: the Western Mediterranean
  • Cabin Type: Balcony Stateroom

This cruise was our first for our 25th wedding anniversary and I must say we thoroughly enjoyed it. In general I felt it was like a 5 star hotel as the cabin was fantastic and the cabin steward done such a fantastic job of looking after our room, I wanted to take hi home with me!

The ship itself is beautiful, my only complaint was I kept getting lost but I have no sense of direction so that's my fault.

The food was in general good my only real complaint here was that I felt the buffet food wasn't very warm and maybe once in the Red Velvet restaurant.

I would advise to stay clear of the sports bar for food as our experience there was awful and remember even if you are all inclusive you have to pay for food in this bar and honestly it was disgusting it was one of the worst meals I have ever had, so best avoid this place.

we only attended one of the shows which had singers on it was ok but didn't tempt me to go back the next night.

the come dancing type competition in the Isolito bar on the 7th floor ( I think that's what it was called) was great and we had a fair good many nights in there with the female singer and her band.

Embarkation and disembarkation was fine as far as I was concerned but as this was my first time I have nothing to compare with. a few people were moaning a bit about this but I really didn't think it was that bad. All in all I loved it and I will return on another cruise

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom
Cabin B1 11115

fab balcony cabin that was kept spic and span the whole time, our steward seemed to know when we were not in the room and when we came back it had all been tidied up. Towels changed twice a day and bed turned down at night, fantastic service

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

didn't leave the ship this day but have been to Palma before and it's lovely

Barcelona

loved it will definitely return, beautiful city so much to see in one day

Corsica (Ajaccio)

nice enough little port not much to do that we could see

Pompeii Walking Tour

Naples was so disappointing but only toured on the bus but city appeared dirty a and poor looking, the graffiti everywhere was so shocking to me even on the Cathedral. Pompeii however, was amazing fantastic and would recommend it
