Never cruised with MSC before but had high expectations for our experience. Ship was huge and its presentation inside and out was good. Our midship balcony cabin was comfortable and very nice. Now the not so god points. Ship was busy. Majority of passengers were italian or spanish. Buffet restaurant was a disorganised unpleasant nightmare with lots of bumping and queue jumping. Food quality and variety was disappointing (we ate there only because shore excursions meant we missed main restaurant times). Lots of excited and some not so well behaved children onboard including teen spanish school trip - no dedicated adult sundeck area other than MSC's club area so be prepared for noise.

Were wakened two nights at 3am with repairs work outside (shouting, hammering and grinding) as also experienced in prior reviews. Excursion disembarkation was unnecessarily confused and lengthy with MSC trying to keep different language speakers separate.

It wasnt a truely bad experience and may suit some family travellers, however, I doubt we would choose MSC again.
