Dawn in Bermuda
Atrium on the Dawn after the dry dock
The Dawn at Heritage Wharf Bermuda

My husband and I were in the group who traveled from Boston to Bermuda right after the dry dock on June 17th. I know people are very interested in the changes and upgrades. Here it is from our perspective. This was our third trip on the Dawn over the last three years.

They did a wonderful job in so many ways, remodeling many public areas and making them more open and renewing upholstery, rugs and curtains. They remodeled the public bathrooms, spa and fitness center. The cabins had new curtains, rugs and mattresses. Lots of the whimsy of the original decor is gone. In some cases it is an improvement in others it is not.

The water falls and rock gardens near the elevators were removed and now there is more room to sit, and walk. I was happy to see live plants in the Atrium when we first boarded rather than the tired fake plants. Also there is a new store selling watches right next to the glass doors. It is an alcove and they no longer sell “gold by the inch” right in the walkway but inside the jewelry store. The closed in duty free liquor store that was there has been moved into a corner of the jewelry store.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Penthouse with Large Balcony

Cabin SF

The dry dock made changes to the curtains, and rugs in this cabin and the new colors are now avocado and lime, the orange is gone. The furniture is also new, the chair now has arms, and the new coffee table is larger and made of wood rather than the old one that was glass. The bench at the foot of the bed is gone. The table and chairs is new also. This large cabin has tons of storage, and huge closet. There is a flat screen TV, and there are movies on demand that are no cost for suite guests. There was an umbrella in the closet.

This is a great cabin, right on the corner of deck 10. The steward left the door open to the extra curved section of the balcony and we had a great view. The large balcony has two lounge chairs with cushions and a small table.
