Sail Date: Apr 2016

This 7-night sailing was not to the Caribbean but to Bermuda with a one day stop in Nassau, Bahamas. We chose this cruise because it would eliminate the flight to New York to reach Bermuda as this itinerary left from Port of Miami. My daughter had sailed the Orchestra a few years ago and warned me of the service but I have been to Europe many times and know that service is different - so we tried.

The two nights-3 days in Bermuda were very bad starting with arriving at 8PM on a Monday, all day Tuesday, then 4 hours in the morning. This does not leave much time for sightseeing considering the difficulty in obtaining transportation to Hamilton or anywhere else from King's Wharf where the Divina docked. Very disorganized. The ship itself is beautiful but that's where the pro's stop. The staff - mostly everywhere - is quite rude and certainly are not there to serve you. The higher end staff are Italian - and I have been to Italy a few times but never experienced this rudeness. The lower end staff is the usual mix of Filipinos and Central American who were very attentive - except our room attendant who we met on night 5. The buffet food was very good however the dining room food lacked quality, taste and had a terrible appearance. Our "balcony" cabin lacked a chair or sofa and table - only the bed and one desk that served as your make-up station, hair drying station, food table, writing desk, etc - with one stool - not even a chair. The ship has no refrigerated Air Conditioning but has an Evaporate Cooling system that fills the areas and your cabin with humid air causing sheets to be moist and your hair! This is our 16th cruise with multiple cruise lines and we've never seen this cooling before - very uncomfortable. We paid for the Fantastica Level so we would be able to choose our dining time and room service...but oh wait....that didn't matter. We got the dining time they selected and limited room service. No coffee is sent via room service after 10am! We brought this up at Guest Services and to the Maitre'D to no avail.

Back to the buffet area - it is the largest buffet area I've ever seen but with over 4000 passengers you never get to try all of it and you're lucky to find a table! Not a fan of mega ships and will certainly not sail another one. Many other incidents involving customer service occurred.

Nassau

Hadn't visited Nassau in over 10 years. Very nice.

King's Wharf

Very expensive restaurant - nothing to do. Must take transportation into Island and that is quite time consuming as the lines are very long. Choose a cruise that will dock at Hamilton instead.
