Sail Date: Jun 2016
Cabin: Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

We sailed on the Eastern itinerary with stops in St. Maarten, St Kitts, Antigua, St. Lucia, and Barbados. We arrived the day before and stayed at the Courtyard Isla Verde. It's a nice property that allowed us to have some beach time before we boarded. As checkout was 11:00 we took a taxi then to the terminal.

At the terminal, we checked our bags quickly and then had to wait until after 12:00 for the doors to open to check in. It was chaotic at this time, and if I had to do it again I would arrive a few hours later once things settled down. Once in check in was quick and we were on board within 15 minutes of entering the building.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

A standard D class balcony. The room is showing some wear and will benefit from the time in dry dock. The balcony does have a solid bottom that cannot be seen through and has a metal divider between the adjacent room preventing the balconies from being joined. We were aware of this, and this was a large part of the reason these are discounted.

The air conditioning in this cabin was adequate getting the room to 70 F overnight. We also had 6336, and the a/c in this room would go as low as a comfortable 67 F.

Port Reviews

Antigua

Tour was rained out. Spent some time in the port and returned to the ship. A nice relaxing afternoon.

San Juan

Stayed at the Courtyard Isla Verde. A nice property on the beach that allowed some beach time before the cruise.
