I'm sure it was just Murphy's Law, but anything that could go wrong went wrong. We originally booked a suite on the Explorer of the Seas thru an agent (Cruise Value Center). They closed their doors and took our money. We had to downgrade since we didn't know if we would be getting our money back. RC tried to be helpful, BUT when downgrading our room they booked us in a room that was way too small for 4 adults. We literally could not squeeze past each other once the pull out couch was made up for sleeping. Two had to sit on the balcony while two were showering and changing. One person in our room had to live out of their suitcase the entire week. Mind you it still cost us (4 of us) over $1200.00 each for a sardine sized room. They didn't even give us the same price and when we originally booked, we had to pay a higher price. We tried to upgrade but the ship was full. We asked for a table for 4, we got a table for 12. We thought we would be put in the main dining room (we booked last July) we were put in a separate room with 4 tables of 12, with small children who cried most of the time. Had no clue what was going on the the 3 tiered dining room. We arrived in Haiti, went down to get our towels, no towels, we had to wait an hour. We tried to get tickets to one of the ice shows. First night all 4 show tickets were gone. They told us if we like we can stand in line 30 minutes before the show to try to get in. Booked an excursion in Dom. Rep., had a set time to get there and get back. Yet when we went to leave we waited in a line in the sun that stretched at least 200 people. We were supposed to arrive in Puerto Rico at 8 in the morning and leave at 2:30. We arrived in Puerto Rico at 10:00 at night, the same night we left St. Thomas, left at 11:30 the following morning. Why even bother to pull into port? All excursions in PR for the following morning had to be cancelled. I know this was just a bad experience for us. I will say that the food was wonderful and everyone we met was wonderful, but I'm not sure we will ever go Royal Caribbean again.

Cabin Review

Cabin D

tiny room, tiny balcony. Room way too small for 4 adults. Adequate closet for 2 or 3 people. Very small bathroom. Every time you used the toilet you banged your arm into the shower door. Not recommended for people on the heavy side.
