Went on this cruise with my two sisters and it was something we looked forward to for a year. One of my sisters had never cruised before so it was exciting to watch her reaction to everything. We chose the Eastern Caribbean as we liked the ports of call. It was a great week...the weather was great and we had a terrific room. We decided to go for an ocean suite since there were three of us. It is the first time I have had a balcony and I loved it.

The staff was wonderful. We had a great room steward and great dining room staff. The food was great and lots of options to choose from. The entertainment could have been better in the Amber Palace but the comedy club entertainers were really good - at least two of the three we saw.

The only disappointing part of the cruise was the time it took to get on the ship. We had priority boarding but we were delayed until almost 1:00 pm - apparently because there was a delay in getting everyone off the ship from the previous cruise. Once we were on board, we were fine. We are looking at another sister cruise in the future with Carnival.

Cabin Review

Ocean Suite

Cabin OS

Lots of room for the three of us. Large balcony. Great room in a good location.

Port Reviews

Miami

Did not do a shore excursion but our experience on Miami was good.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

We went to Ocean World. We liked the dolphin show and the sea lion show but the seating areas were small. Overall, not the best excursion.

San Juan

We took the trolley car to the two forts and explored on our own. Then we walked back to the ship and stopped to shop along the way.

Grand Turk

Beautiful port of call. We shopped in the shops just off the pier and then decided to head back to the ship to enjoy some beverages on the Serenity Deck.
