I like the smaller size ship Volendam and I found it to be spacious and never felt crowded, although it's an older ship, and it does show some wear and tear.
The Inside Passage to Alaska was very scenic and we were able to enjoy the view from our balcony for most of the voyage, due to the unusually warm weather.
The ports were easily accessible by walking except for Juneau, which was a fifteen minute walk, but a free shuttle was provided. The shops were fun, but the merchandise was pretty much the same in every shop, in all three ports.
Comfortable, but showing wear-and-tear.
