We cruise often but had only been on one Norwegian ship about ten years ago. We found a good deal on Groupon and decided to try them again. This is a modern ship with all the bells and whistles. They have 5 complimentary restaurants to choose from and 10 additional specialty restaurants (extra fees apply). They do let you dress casual in the main dining areas which is great on port days when your are short on time. When you get on the boat you need to make reservations for the shows because they fill quickly. You can do this on your TV stateroom TV or at the Box Office. The Oh What A Night dinner show was my favorite of the week! St. Thomas and Tortola are beautiful ports of call! The ship has many video games, a two lane bowling ally, pool tables, and a huge adult casino!
This cabin was large and ADA compliant. It had two single beds or you could put them together to make one. There is plenty of shelving for cloths and luggage. The room has a window so you can see outside. The room does have mini bar, safe and hair dryer.
I was impressed we dropped off our bags, got parked, check-in, and were on the boat in less than an hour! I could believe it for a ship of this size. Awesome job!
This was my first visit so I just spent my day discovering what I could by foot. The port area shops looked new. The island is hilly so you do have views all around you. It is much less commercial than St. Thomas. There was a small craft market within walking distance to buy local crafts and trinkets. We did find a marina & hotel called Village Cay right across from the port and spent awhile here enjoying the view and having a few drinks.
I've been here over ten times as most cruise from the southeast stop in Naussa. I've done a verity of different things over the years but on this visit we just walked down to the Straw Market and had a few drinks at Senor Frogs. This Senor Frog is always hopping as Nassau has several ships in port at the same time so the place gets a good crowd.
