if I could change one thing about this trip I guess I would have had my husband go to his dr. for bloodwork to make sure he had a good report to travel. He has 19 percent kidney function and he is a diabetic but he was feeling fine on the trip until we docked in St. Thomas. The Dr. onboard thought it was a good idea to send him to the hospital to get him checked out and then they kept him until Thurs. and he flew back to Ohio when he was well enough to travel. The funny thing is he was feeling fine until we went to port and started walking. They think the salty seafood he had consumed, the walking and the heat all played a factor in the return of his kidney stones. My daughter and I decided to stay on the ship Tuesday thru Sat. and Carnival was wonderful about giving us messages and my phone did work so we could talk to each other. He is still in the hospital but hopefully he will get to come home tomorrow. just remember to buy traveler's insurance like we did because you never know when someone in your family will need to use it. Our waiters were wonderful....Lin and Joy!!!!! The piano bar was so much fun and we went there almost every evening. Our room steward was invisible but he did do a good job. We had rough seas Wed. and my daughter felt alittle sea sick but overall it was a wonderful cruise. Harry's supper club was well worth the money. Very nice meal.....and the spa is the best. Spend the extra money and get the $99 special on the last day which included the neck and back massage, facial and foot massage. My daughter and I went in the room together and we were in there 2 hours. It was the highlight of my trip. There is always alittle trouble finding a deck chair if you don't go out and reserve one.... but be patient. We really enjoyed the entertainment and especially the last night because fellow cruisers get to preform various artists....Chocolate drop...you were an awesome james Brown...i loved you..... i want to conclude my review by giving a shout out to Jason...a fellow passenger. You were the life of the party and we really enjoyed your company at the piano bar. You made my daughter and I laugh and get thru some difficult times on the cruise. So if you read this I want to say thanks for the great times in the piano bar....You should think about being a cruise director because you have the personality for it and we loved you...Dennis I hope you made it home safely and Thanks for the dance. What a great bunch of cruisers we had onboard!!!!!
