Beautiful ship but I could only give it 2 stars. The cruise itself was fine however, the ship was not to my liking. Way too many people forced to use indoor facilities rather than the pool deck due to cool weather. The ship does not have enough space in the various venues to accommodate the passengers. Besides the pool deck, there were only three decks open to various activities. A lot of that space was taken up by art and photography.
It was also annoying to have to reserve ALL the various entertainment that was available rather than just plan on an early or late seating in a theater. Venues for some of the entertainment was also too small and restricted. The food in the extra cost restaurant La Cucina was poor and we ended up leaving. The manager expressed his concern and said he would have chocolate covered strawberries delivered to our room but that never happened.
Good points? The room steward, Patrick, was outstanding and provided for all our needs. We didn't take any cruise sponsored excursions opting to either use private tour guides or explore on our own. The offered cruise tours seemed to be very expensive. The cruise line also nickels and dimes you to death. Room service on all the other cruise lines I've been on has been complimentary. NCL charges a $7.95 fee. The exchange rate for the foreign currency we used was poor with an added $10 fee no matter how much was exchanged. The cabin was an inside and was OK but could have been designed a little better. No place to sit except on the bed and more storage could be included. The separate shower, toilet and vanity took up a lot of space.
Cabin was basically adequate but the layout was weird. Separate shower, toilet and vanity took up too much space. No place to sit except the bed. Too little storage. Could have been better designed.
