I'll start with the cabin. Make sure you don't take the cat with you, because you won't find room to swing it! Smallest cabin we have ever had the misfortune to stay in - even the bathroom and balcony were miniscule. I don't know how many times I banged myself on the loo/edge of shower screen whilst trying to get it and out of the shower. The balcony had two chairs and a tiny table, but impossible to move the furniture around as there is not room. The cabin itself had loads of hanging space, but unfortunately very little in the way of cupboard space; what there was was right behind the bathroom door, so we both ended up getting whacked on the back of the head a few times when one of us was trying to get something off a shelf and the other one exited the bathroom.
There was a bedside table at one side of the bed, but on the other side it was the dressing table, which also doubled up as the place for the tea/coffee making facilities and the rack containing all the cruise information. Finding somewhere to put my make up etc was a real challenge. Weirdest thing to me was the fact that they didn't have any bedside lights, so when either of us got up during the night it meant putting on the cabin lights; still, I suppose it saved P&O some money, which is the botom line here. There were some nice White Company toiletries in the bathroom but they were never replenished, and I had to ask the cabin steward on a couple of occasions just for a bar of soap!
The food in the restaurant was okay, nothing more. It was severely lacking in any form of customer service or inter-action with the waiting staff; no recommendations on tonight's menu or anything like that, just a menu shoved in front of you and an order taken. Wine waiter seemed run off his feet because at times it did feel as though he had gone down to the 'wine cellar' to find our bottle.
