After overdosing on Downton Abbey, a friend and I decided to share a Viking Rhine cruise. Viking expedited the entire reservation process including air. The Amsterdam pickup and transfer to the Idi was flawless. In fact the crew of the Idi were most accommodating and friendly.
The food was good, and the wine selection was superb. The upgrade to the top flight bar and wine selection was a smart choice on our part.
Activities were well planned and well guided. From the windmills of the Netherlands to the battlefields of Alsace to the day in Heidelberg, we could not have asked for more. The day in Strasbourg was a real highlight, storks and all. Don't miss the astronomical clock in Strasbourg cathedral.
Excellent accommodations. Great space. Balcony was a big plus even in the cold of March. Plenty of room. Amazing bath. Service was excellent.
Very good stop. Pretty much very walkable.
Frantastic. Just not enough time.
A must see.
The cathedral was incredible. The astronomical clock is a must see.
The old city is fantastic. Had plenty of time to walk through much of the city. The storks had returned and it was a delight to see them in their nests.
Castle is easily accessible. Tour guide very knowledgable.
Excellent tour guide. Enough time to see the whole cathedral.
The town in very walkable. Much to see. Roman ruins and museum are great.
Did this on my own and with other guests. Spent most of the afternoon on the river walk area and also took a taxi to the British World War I cemetery.
