Before I write a review on the NCL Dawn, I have a bone to pick with my fellow Cruise Critic members who signed up for the Meet & Greet on our cruise, 12/13/15 thru 12/20/15. 75 signed up, less than 20 showed up. NCL is one of the few companies that does a great job by putting out some muffins, coffee, tea, etc. And, they send their officers down to talk to us. This was the first Meet & Greet that I had attended, where I was embarrassed on behalf of Cruise Critic.

The service was good. Staff was friendly, but for a few bar staff on the pool decks that need to go back to school to learn how to handle pax with respect. Ask kindly to fall in line, don't shoo us like sheep to "stand in line", we're not school kids anymore. The shows wee good. Shore excursion went well and we enjoyed all our's.

What happened to the food NCL? This was our third time on Dawn and I think the 8th time on NCL. I was really disappointed in the food. It has gone down hill. It was tasteless, so it was easy to come back home without gaining a single pound. The specialty restaurants were amazing. Maybe that's the idea, they want us all to rather eat there and skip the main dining rooms.

Aft-Facing Balcony

Cabin B1

Our room was clean. We had to convince our steward that he should fix the room everyday. Don't wait for us to ask, just do your job. He did in the end get the message and all worked out fine. The balcony is somewhat bigger because it is an aft balcony. A lounge chair x 2 fit neatly on the balcony plus two regular chairs.
