We sailed on the Nieuw Amsterdam for 3 weeks beginning November 22. It was a B2B2B consisting of Eastern, Western, Eastern Caribbean. The first and third weeks were exactly the same itinerary. This cruise was all about relaxing for us. We had been to all the ports before, and had basically done a similar cruise last year.

The embarkation went smoothly. There was a long line to check in at around noon, but it moved fairly quickly. When we embarked we went straight to our cabin to drop off our carry-ons and we were shocked to see our checked bags were already in our cabin. A nice start to the cruise!

Our cabin was a balcony on deck 5 near the back. It was nice and comfortable - typical balcony cabin. Our stewards were great and kept us well looked after. We liked the interactive TV with the many choices of shows and movies. Read more
