We parked at Park Port Canaveral and took their shuttle to the port. The price is right and they drop you off right at the luggage drop off. Check in was fast being that the new terminal was built to handle the largest ships. We purchased for the first time a lanyard with a pouch and actually found it to be a useful item.
Since we were on the ship for only three days (and to spend time with friends) we booked an interior room. 7123 was located in a very quiet area. I have never slept so soundly on a sip. While the cabins could use a renovation it met our needs for such a short trip.
We found plenty of entertainment around the ship despite the fact that we did not go to any of the shows. As usual, the Quest game show was our favorite activity. It is only for adults - no children allowed due to its risque nature.
We did not eat in the Windjammer buffet. I prefer the service in the main dining room for breakfast and dinner and the food at the Solarium Cafe for lunch. For the last night, we ate at Chops. The service and steaks and well worth the cover charge. As far as bars go we found the service best at the Solarium bar. Shorter lines and wait times.
Due to a medical emergency, the ship was late returning to port. While some guests were upset by this it was certainly not the fault of the cruise line that a passenger had to be airlifted off the ship due to an accidental fall. The captain kept us informed throughout the night about the incident.
Overall, I love the Enchantment and I have sailed on her three times. Each time I have found her crew to be friendly and have had a great time. I have sailed on the larger ships and enjoy the atmosphere of the smaller ships more. If all you want is fancy surroundings this is not your ship. If you want to relax and have a great time with a crew that cares that you are enjoying yourself then this is your ship!
I have actually stayed in this cabin twice. It is in a quiet location but still near the stairs and elevators. On the deck plans you'll see that Chops is located underneath this area but it is not an issue. Absolutely no noise from the deck below (or above) from this location.
While there is not as much to see on this dive, any day diving is a good day. Be aware that you either have to swim out to the starting point (and back) or be taken out on a sled attached to a jet ski. Not as easy as jumping over the side of a boat!!
View All undefined undefined ReviewsWe booked a day pass via Resort for a Day for the British Colonial Hilton. It is a five-minute walk from the pier (yay! no taxi ride). For 60.00 you get the use of the beach, pool, snorkel equipment, towels, and chairs plus a 40 worth of food and/or drinks. I highly recommend this as it is a relaxing, inexpensive beach day with no crowds.
