We had a fantastic time on our cruise on board the Carnival spirit. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 10, The Embarkation process was a little daunting for the kids as it did take a little while waiting in line, but apart from that everything ran smoothly and was organised. The safety instructions and everyone heading to their muster stations again was abit of a long process and the kids really struggled to stay still!. We stayed in deck 8 (panorama deck), We were a bit apprehensive being on deck 8 as we had heard all the stories of sea sickness and really feeling the rock of the boat being up higher...in our experience we didn't feel much at all and we love being up higher, there was some noise from the above Lido deck that however didn't bother us as we are all usually early risers. Our cabin stewards Budi and Edy were absolutely fabulous, the kids loved the little towel animals. One of the first things we did was book shore excursions and the Cat in a hat breakfast as they tend to sell out rather quickly . Carnival offers a wide variety of activities and shows on board the spirit and for the most part we were impressed, The shows they have at night are good but my husband and i felt like they were a tad repetitive on some occasions. Dining on board was absolutely delicious!. We dined most of the time at the empire restaurant and were very impressed by the service and food there!. Kids club was great when it was open, that was the main let down i guess, Camp ocean has certain times where you have to drop them off and pick them up throughout sea days,Shore excursions were great and really enjoyable. Travelling on the tenders to and from the boat was really organised no stress at all. Disembarkation was really smooth, we selected the self assist option which was really easy and it was so organised we had no issues at all.

Overall we loved the cruise and would definitely recommend carnival especially to families! We are already planning our next cruise with Carnival.
