Our balcony room did not have a pull out couch as on other Norwegian ships. Instead it was a piece of wood with a very thin mattress on top. Asked for another mattress and got a piece of foam.
Our shore excursion tickets were delivered to the wrong room and we had to stand in line to get reprints. Found out later that the documents were delivered to a cabin 40 rooms down from us. Our cabin boy, Ryan, told us to keep calling the shore excursion desk but the phone just rang and rang.
The pool was a joke. You either sat on the edge or stood in the middle. Definitely not made for swimming. There was a gigantic water slide and a kiddie pool so that area was definitely geared for kids.
The bed was comfortable but the pillows were like pieces of shredded rubber. The couch was a piece of wood with a very thin mattress, definitely not comfortable for sleeping for a week. Give me a pull out couch anytime.
The water was too rough for the tenders to take us to shore so we ended up spending another day at sea. Very disappointing as this was supposed to be one of the highlights of the trip. Better safe than sorry.
