Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Advice: don't elect to board first thing. You will be held in a holding area until called. Wait until around 12:30-13:00 then you will have a quick boarding.

We stayed in the Chilworth Manor the night before and were taken to the Port by taxi. Left our car at the hotel. Long wait for taxi back to hotel on disembarking.

Ship is huge and quite impressive. Favourite place Schooner Bar but the evening entertainment not that exciting. Pianist who didn't inter-act with the customers until the last night. Too loud and a piercing voice but still we found ourselves here most nights because of the excellent waiter service. Just didn't sit too close to the piano!

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

Large Cabin with plenty of storage. Bathroom nice size, shower bigger than normal.

The positives end there.

Balcony overlooks smoking area on deck 5. Permanent smell of stale smoke on balcony and in room when door opened. So bad we didn't weant to sit on the balcony. We are non-smokers so found the smell unbearable. Guest Services no help. Voicemail left, "ship full, can't move you, sorry, hope everything's ok now" but they didn't do anything to help. You only find out where the smoking areas are once you are on board. Nothing on deck plans.

So, if you don't like the smell of stale tobacco smoke, avoid this cabin and its two neighbouring cabins like the plague!

Port Reviews

Cartagena (Spain)

Rained. Everything is marble so very slippery. Really good for shopping though.
