My husband and I were cruising with 37 other family members and friends to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The ship itself is fantastic and it offered everything and more you could possibly want, except the adult pool should be varied heights so you could stand and talk instead of treading water the whole time. The food on the most part was very good…had a couple of bad meals: the sliced steak was over-cooked and tough and the pork chop was very dry. The specialty restaurant La Cucina was great. I had the purchased the Ultimate Beverage Package, which did not even include bottled water…that is a pure rip-off! We also got charged for a mini-bar purchase of Grey Goose but the bottle was filled with water; don't know if it was a past passenger or the ship, but I still paid a fortune for water that I did not drink, not knowing where it came from. We never saw our cabin stewart until two days before we were back in NYC and then my husband ran into him…I never saw him/her.

We had a terrible time with the attitude of staff except for the two bartenders in the Shakers martini bar who were terrific. The ship was definitely understaffed and most of them did not seem like they were "customer friendly"…just unhappy with their jobs. Buffet was very good, but I am not a fan but did go one night for dinner and the carving station had pork loin that was excellent…moist and tasty! Our grandchildren enjoyed all of the amenities the ship had to offer, walk the plank, water slide, mini golf, etc!

The worst part was we had planned a get-together in a private meeting room and paid for appetizers prior to the sailing. They claimed to not have that payment and really did not try very hard to make things right. They eventually brought in appetizers but not the ones I ordered and had an attitude about the whole situation. Read more
