This was our first cruise with Viking River cruises and my wife and I loved every minute of it. The ship, Viking Astrild, was new and we were the first passengers on her maiden voyage. The accommodations, wonderful food, and warm and helpful crew were first rate. Our Program director was outstanding with a wonderful sense of humor and an in-depth understanding of our cruise ports. He was attentive to all our needs and any request was handled in an expeditious way. Each port had wonderful transportation arranged with excellent guided tours. The voice box with earphones is a wonderful device and made the tours easy to listen and allowed us walking flexibility.

We loved the food and having a light fare on the main deck was terrific. The staterooms were spacious enough and we felt entirely comfortable. The crew overall were very gracious, and cared to give the passengers a good time.

We have told our friends about our wonderful trip and we plan on making another in the near future.
