Venice is a real labyrinth with its narrow streets, shops, buildings and canals. Venice is a water-city as we never see anywhere else in the world. It's a must to visit in a lifetime. San Marco Place, the Rialto bridge, Murano, Burano, vaporettos, gondolas etc... are remaquable.

We took a taxi from the ship to Acropolis for 20 euros. Spent a full day around Acropolis. Lot of archeology, shops and pedestrian Streets. View from Acropolis is fabulous. Prepare to walk and prepare to be in a large crowd upthere.

Amazing city with such a different culture than north american cities. We visited the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, the Topkapi Palace, the cistern, the grand bazar and the spice market. What an experience. Be aware of improvised turkish guides who want to help you. Grand Bazar and spice market are very impressive.

Exceptional ruins! We took the local bus, about 15 minute walk from the ship. Cheap but not too comfortable. It brought us right to Ephesus. There, we had to walk about 10 minutes to the entry of the ruins. Exceptional!

We took the local train. 5 minute walk from the ship. Took us from the port to village of Olympia. Not expensive and right on time. Perfect. Ruins are easy to walk and main street at the village has some good café.

We took a boat from Fira port to Oia and we rented a car there. We went all the way to the lighthous at the far end of the island and stopped by the red beach. Oia is magnificient, all white and blue with great shops and luxury hôtels. We had some hard time to find the car rental place in Fira to return the car. From fira, we walked down to the port and crossed many donkeys. What a walk!

In overall, the cruise was way above our expectations.We were looking for a cruise not too crowdy and we were absolutely enchanted by truise.
