Mom and I have taken this cruise for the last 3 years and have been fairly happy with the food and very happy with the friendliness and service of the staff. Something has definitely changed on the Dawn...not sure if they are cutting back on the quality of food and number of staff...but will think twice before taking this cruise again.

Food quality was inconsistent and sometimes didn't even eat it. Eggs benedict were fine sometimes or they could be hard boiled...Meat was not the quality we are accustomed to on Norwegian. Meats were either very fatty or tough...fish was dry and overcooked.

Staff was not friendly or smiling like we are used to on the Dawn nor was the service the same. Was difficult to get drinks in the casino especially. Had to ask for a server every day! And even then it took quite a bit of time to get a drink. After the show honoring the staff on the ship, my 79 year old Mom started shaking hands as usual ...one of the officers refused to shake her hand and said, "We don't shake hands!" Well isn't that nice???? Maybe that is why the staff on this ship has become unfriendly.
