This is our 7th cruise with NCL, our 3rd to Alaska. The ports were wonderful, the weather perfect and we had long times in port, plenty of time to do everything. We especially liked Brooke with Frontier Excursions in Skagway, 2 1/2 hr. White Pass/Skagway trip. She is local, very knowledgeable, and reasonable, the van was brand new, and holds 10, so it was personal. We like to give local merchants business. Also in Juneau we took Whale Watching tour with Big Mike (Whale Tails), he also is local, reasonable, small group, and fun.

The ship was clean, food good. We ate mostly in main dining rooms, and O'Sheehans. But garden buffet was good with lots of variety, and you could use La Cucina dining room for breakfast and lunch, quieter, less traffic. The entertainment was wonderful, especially Flashback Four; Fire & Ice; Le Cirque Bijou. And our fav. washy-washy guy with guitar, what a talent, and sweetie, he makes everyone smile..TAKE NOTICE NCL! He needs recognition for good p.r.

Most wonderful were ALL the staff from painting crew, to hotel management. Friendly, accommodating, and always smiling. Steven Jacobsen is hotel manager, and we believe the staff reflect his direction. Always available, and makes one feel special, as do ALL his staff. We look forward to another Jewel cruise.

Cabin BC

The cabin was clean & well kept. Enough storage for two. When beds are twin it was tight, but when moved together a little more room. We used the balcony daily for continental breakfast and it was great. Also for the glacier viewing. Quiet deck, close to elevator, and Al Francis was terrific steward. I would chose this cabin again.
