Our cruise on the Viking Baldur is the best. Service is friendly and phenomenal. They anticipate any needs that you might want or need. Examples: on a warm day on the sun deck, a server came up with glasses of water; on a cooler and breezy day while sailing a beautiful section of the Rhine, the hotel director brought up blankets and the maitre d' brought up to the sun deck while we enjoying the spectacular views. The housekeeping and the housekeepers are often the unsung heroes. The ship is immaculate! When arriving aboard and being tired and exhausted from our flight from hell, we were greeted with warm washcloths that so welcome. When leaving the ship for shore excursions, you are handed bottles of water and when you return are welcomed back with a beverage. The dining room service is excellent. The included shore excursions are very and they also offer a variety of interesting optional excursions. The Viking daily is on your bed at turn down service, so that you can plan your day. I highly recommend the Baldur. We boarded in Frankfurt and end in amsterdam.
