First off, this ship is wonderfully decorated and looks brand spanking new. The food onboard was wonderful. We ate in the traditional restaurants as well as the specialty ones such as Teppanyaki and Moderno. I loved the food at Teppanyaki and the service was great, however at Moderno's, they could use some improvement. The food was okay and the service was non existent. I think as an overall, the service in the restaurants can use some improvement, especially the average of 2 hours plus it takes from start to finish on most dinner nights. The buffet each day and night was pretty good with a variety of selections. I loved how clean the staff kept the places as well as made sure everyone used hand sanitizer, (Washy Washy) O'Sheehan's and the Flamingo Grill is excellent. Overall, the food onboard has been some of the best ive ever had on any cruise, and this was my 11th cruise from a variety of companies. The entertainment onboard was also wonderful, especially the comedy shows. The kids clubs could definitely use major improvements. My 4 year old as well as many other kids onboard complained about the kids clubs at times, and didn't even want to back after their first visits. I'd say, give them more to do, maybe even build an indoor playground of some sort to also keep them busy like on Disney etc. I found the pool area to be overcrowded as in most cruise ships, however the splash area pool for the kids was pretty good as well as the 5 water slides onboard. In fact, I never had to wait in a long line to ride the slides, and that was nice to see. We opted for an interior room this time around, however we usually go with the balcony. The interior was pretty small for a family of 4, however we adapted and our located was perfect, up on deck 14 aft. Overall, this was a wonderful cruise experience, and we will definitely be back on the Getaway in the near future. This was a nice change from those other guys, which they seem to be overrated, compared to NCL. Well Done Norwegian!!!!
