Cruise director was MIA for most of the cruise. Eli was very hard to understand and the timing of his announcements were horrible. Cruise lacked the great professionalism of the staff. all the activities were unorganized the entertainment was mediocre at best. Illusionist was horrible and the comedy was very racist.. Asked for my fridge to be unlocked and emptied. room steward told me he can unlock but i have to find somewhere to put everything. Meanwhile my cousin had his emptied by his steward with no problem. also had to ask 3 times for our bunk beds to be pulled down from the celing (they are locked). Piano bar pianist was SO/SO there were never any deck parties. everyone who worked there seemed like they hated their jobs. seemed to be understaffed in the dining rooms and by the pool. Only 1 waiter thanked me for the tip I gave him the rest never said a word. My daughter said there was 1 bad kid in camp carnival and the attendant had to talk to him multiple times and one time after she told him she was going to have to talk to his parents. My daughter overheard the attendant say "what am I supposed to do? shoot myself?" Overall I give this cruise 2 stars because the cruise ship was clean and the ports were great. But I will not be sailing on the magic or from Galveston until it changes..

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8A

Great cabin lots more room than an interior. Could hear the loud music from the showtime theater but i didn tgo to sleep till after midnight so it didnt bother me. If you have kids or go to bed early DO NOT pick a room on this floor in the front of ship. Room was clean sofa had a tear in it though..

Port Reviews

Galveston

This was a nightmare. Very very bad setup and took WAY TOO LONG to ge tthrough customs. Its almost like noone has done their job before. But I did park at EZcruiseparking.com and it was about 3 block and easy access 5 star for that place..

Key West

Great port to visit lots of shopping and sightseeing. Beaches are horrible don't waste your time going to a beach here. Don't waste your time doing a trolley or train tour. you can pretty much walk everywhere you need to go. or take a electric car, scooter, or bike.. you can rent from almost every block..

Freeport

Take a taxi to port lucaya. get off and got to the grand lucayan resort and get a Day pass. You will LOVE THE BEACH here. its $10 for roundtrip to port lucaya and its $12-$16 for a day pass at the resort. Or there is also a smaller public free beach right behind the police station. and all this is right across the street from shopping food and bars.

Nassau

We didn't do the Atlantis tour. But I had friends that did and they said it was great. We just waled to the shops about 4 blocks away from port and then walked to junkaroo beach with was a decent beach. good old cheap fun. we just bought some beers from the liquor stores on our way to and from the beach. had a great time shipping in the market. lots and lots to choose from.
