This was my first time cruising in 8 years. Went with my husband who has never cruised and our 14 year old daughter. Loved the excitement and ease of cruising out of New York City. We got on the ship at 12:30 p.m. and went straight to the dining room for a really great lunch. Following lunch, we investigated the ship and hung out at the Spice H20 area for the bon-voyage party. Well done, and very exciting seeing the sites as we sailed away. Had so much fun dancing with my daughter! Got to our room around 3:00 p.m., we booked the last cabin on the ship. It was small, but had a lot of storage space. Happy with the closet and the space in the bathroom. It was very clean.

Our 14 year old went to the opening night of the teen club and was hooked right from the start. She met so many friends from our area. It was really great to know that she was having fun and we could relax and do our thing.

We really enjoyed the entertainment in the evenings. Really loved Charlie Love and his blues band at Fat Cat Blues Bar. We also enjoyed Rock of Ages, Howling of the Moon and Angel who serenades every night at the Shaker Martini Bar. We also enjoyed the Second City Comedy nights.

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom

Cabin IC

We had the last cabin available, so I assume it might be one of the worst. However, even with that said, I really didn't mind it. Compared to some of the older ships I have been on, it offered a lot of storage space. Bathroom was very large and offered a nice vanity for your toiletries. My husband complained of noise from the Breakaway theater that was located two decks above us. I use earplugs and never heard a thing and slept like a baby. There was also crew door right next ours which kept opening throughout the night. It's not so bad, but it slammed every time it opened.

Port Reviews

Great Stirrup Cay

Liked the private island and experience. Enjoyed the lounges and bar. My husband and I walked the island and found some cool private places. Water was beautiful. Not a lot of shady places. We had to move our chaise lounges underneath a palm tree.

Nassau

We decided not to pay for an excursion. Walked off the ship and toured the Queen's Staircase and got a brief history from a local who was very informative.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Why would we want to go to Port Canaveral. Nothing to do, and not enough time to get somewhere. It was obvious it was a resupply port for the ship and had nothing to do with passenger convenience.

New York (Manhattan)

We boarded from NYC, we didn't go on an excursion. We live 45 minutes away. It was exciting to see the sights as you sailed away. We saw the statue of liberty, and sailed under the Verrezzano Narrows Bridge.
