Actually, renamed the Norwegian Spirit. For a first time cruiser, this was a great cruise. A little confusion on the embarkation process at pier 66. They gave us a number to board, but this was ignored. Our cabin was great! A lot more roomy than anticipated and the shower was great! Colors were a little bright, but we got used to them. Although the crew was new to the ship, they all had a great attitude and were always polite and helpful. The main restaurants, Windows and the Garden Room, were very good. Service was sometimes slow during the busy periods. We only had to wait on a table once and that was on the formal night.

By the way, we didn't like how they did their formal night. Formal attire was optional and we were mixed in with others at dinner who elected not to dress up. They also did not enforce their resort casual dress code on this night or any others. Our suggestion was to have one restaurant dedicated to those dressing up. Entertainment was super, especially the comic and magician.

The only bad glitch on this, the Spirit's inaugural cruise with NCL, was a late arrival into Juneau. Their waste water plant had not been certified on sailing, so they had to go out to sea to dump their gray water, which put us over three hours late into Juneau. Several shore excursions were cancelled which upset many. Also, they were very late in communicating this change which caused us to arise early thinking we were arriving in port on time.
