Overview

We sailed on the Emerald Princess's Western Mediterranean cruise from May 24-June 4, 2008. We benefited greatly from previous reviews and other information on cruise critic in planning our trip. We hope that you are all able to benefit from our observations and experiences.

This was our first time sailing with Princess, and our overall impression in one word is terrific; in two words, absolutely terrific. Any MBA program would do well to send its students to the Emerald Princess to see how an operation should be planned, organized, and executed. The ship is impressive to say the least, and Princess does a great job staffing and running it. Emerald Princess is quite large even by cruise ship standards, yet we seldom felt the presence of the 3,000 or so passengers.
