There where three of us on this cruise my wife, son, and me all from Wasilla Alaska. This was my sons first cruise and me and my wife's 6th. The Embarkation went smooth and very fast. On your fist day where something you will want to were to dinner because your luggage wont get to your room tell later that night. Are cabin was on deck 8 which is as high as the staterooms go and was very clean and roomy but could of used more hangers in the closets. We had a corner balcony to so that made are room even better.
Are cabin stewardess were very nice and remembered are names and cleaned are rooms 2 times a day or maybe even more. The bartenders also remembered you by name and your beverage of chose. Are waiters were very friendly and on 2 nights of the cruise all of the waiters danced and sang to you. I was very surprised by how clean the ship was, you could see your reflection on the wood dace floors. there were 16 elevators that made it very easy to get around, and the ship was full of 2124 guest on bored but you would only think there were 200.
the ship was very well decorated in the public rooms and the dining room was very beautiful. They seemed to name and create most of the public rooms after a cartoon or comic character, like Pinocchio's lounge, batman's layer, Mr. Lucky's casino, and Dr Frankensteins Disco. The entertainment always kept us busy and my son to, there were galley tours, very good Vegas style shows, movies, daces, lots of food, casino, pools, a water slide, spa, hot tubs, shops, library, internet cafe, video arcade, bars, lounges, actions, bingo, comedy acts, for the kids there were supervised programs, a play center, baby siting, club o2 for teens and party's. IF you are a big soda drinker it would probably be best to pick up a soda card. Also if you would like you can go on to carnivals main web site and order stuff like specialty cakes, banners, flowers, and anniversary buckets. This was a great cruise experience for me and plan to go on a another carnival cruise on the carnival miracle.
