This was our anniversary cruise and we were not disappointed. Although the embarkation in New Orleans was exceptionally slow (as was the debarkation process) this was the only 'lowpoint" of our entire cruise. Our balcony cabin was very spacious and we so enjoyed being able to sit out on our own balcony and enjoy the beautiful weather. Our cabin steward was wonderful and very respectful of our wishes - we are not people who need cabin service 2 times a day. They felt guilty but we assured them that we just wanted to sleep in most days ! The itinerary included our favorite port of Cozumel where we have been many times and also beautiful Belize. The Guatemalan port was of no interest to us however. The dining experience on the ship was wonderful - Cagney's Steakhouse was exceptional as was the Asian/Fusion restaurant. The food quality was exceptional. Freestyle dining is the best ! The Norwegian Dream showband was amazing - a group of talented people from Poland under the direction of Lukasz Lagocki on piano. Beautiful dance music almost every night. The quartet from the Philippines were wonderful but there were 2 girls who sang to tapes every night for a couple of hours - they were the only weakness. What ever happened to REAL music. They were just glorified karaoke, unlike the Showband who are accomplished musicians. The Cruise Director was average but seemed rather nervous at times; maybe he was just inexperienced. We would definitely cruise with NCL again. Just a word to the fellow cruisers out there who like to complain - can you please do it in private or address your issues to the Purser's Desk personnel? We had to listen to a couple at the next table moan and groan about life in general. We think some people take a cruise to complain in a new environment !!! WE LOVED IT !!!!
