We have just returned from the last Grand Princess out of Galveston.

This will have been our third Cruise ( 2nd with Princess) Last Cruise was on the Diamond, and it is hard to beat.....The Diamond is a beautiful ship. We arrived in Houston International and were shuttled by princess to Galveston, everything went very smoothly the staff were great, however I wasn't prepared for the 90 minute commute, they advertise 45 min. Embarkment was very fast,as we are Canadians, so our line was was NIL (10) minutes at the most. I have to say was, not all impressed with our Cabin, it was older, and tired looking, much to my surprise when I went to turn the water on in the bathroom, brown water came out!!!! I chalked it up to Galveston? As the oil rigs and water was not pleasing to the eyes or nose. Once we left Galveston the water was fine...and the smell was gone.

We enjoyed the cruise very much, the dining area was a bit slower than we are used to, but it seemed they may have been training new employees, and I was okay with the learning process. The magician is really really good, as was the Cruise Director James. The social staff were energetic and very warm and welcoming. The hypnotist was below average. Our Casino Games Coordinator was wonderful, I had went on the Fantasy last February and she had transferred to Princess ( Loved her accent) Our room attendant Ernesto was sweet and always greeted us by our names, my robes ( As this I listed as a preference online with princess) were waiting for me upon my arrival and so was our chocolate strawberries that our travel agent arranged. Very nice!!!!
