This was our eighth cruise, and third on HAL. We have cruised with Princess, Royal Carribean and NCL.

We had a great cruise again! The key for us is a beautiful ship, great service, excellent food and doing everything or nothing at all. We again rented a cabana for the week. This time we rented one at the Cabana Club on Deck 11. As it turned out, this was a great choice. For us the quiet cabana overlooking the pool was perfect. The best part of this experience, and one major way it differs from the poolside cabanas, is the huge area for sitting and sunbathing that is shared by the cabanas. The "patio furniture" is high end and extremely comfortable. The service from Noel and Paul was exceptional. Always asking if they could go get you lunch or a drink; or bringing around then champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries in the afternoon. This extra $300 for the week is money very well spent. Imagine NEVER having to stake out chairs by the pool.

We were contacted by HAL before our cruise and offered a for purchase upgrade. I was interested in what the had available, so I called back after receiving their email. For a reasonable fee we took cabin 11001, one of ten cabins on Deck 11. The cool thing was, this cabin was only steps away from the Cabana Club and also the Explorations cafe.
