Cabin: Balcony

We had a mid-ship balcony cabin on Baja, Deck 11. It was smaller than the only other cruise we've done, which was on the Serenade of the Seas and also a mid-ship balcony. That had a couch which could at a pinch sleep a child, and more space round the wardrobe/bathroom areas which was a bottleneck at times for me and my husband. Our cabin steward, Tan, was delightful and kept the cabin very clean.

The ports of call were great with most shore excursions great.  However we didn't like that the tour guides & drivers on the 2 Vietnam excursions expected tips at the end of the day .  The other countries weren't like this and coming from New Zealand, where tipping isn't the norm, Vietnam stood out for the wrong reasons.

The ship was well-presented with most staff friendly and polite. We opted for Anytime Dining & enjoyed it's flexibility. We particularly liked the staff at Pacific Moon Dining Room. The food was mostly great and we found the choice at the buffet dining area, Horizon Court, varied and delicious. Getting on & off the ship was well run, especially disembarkation.
