This is a review of our March 2 sailing of the Celebrity Constellation. We are seasoned cruisers, this being our 47th cruise and 11th with Celebrity – the second on the Constellation in the past year. We booked this cruise as a last minute getaway 2 weeks prior to sailing. We booked an inside guarantee and ended up with an ocean view on deck 2 midway between the forward and midship elevators – a very convenient location.

The Constellation is an M Class ship and holds 2170 passengers and has 12 decks. She was launched in 2002 and has been refurbished and we found her to be in great shape. She has been doing 4 and 5 day cruises out of Port Everglades recently with an occasional longer cruise thrown in. Our cruise left on a Monday and the port only had one other ship there that day. Home on a Saturday with 6 ships in port. We departed and came back to Terminal 4 on the north end of the port.

We live in Palm City FL - about 90 minutes north of Port Everglades. We drove down and parked at the Park N Fly. They shuttled us to the port and we were there by 12:30pm. We hold Elite status with Celebrity and our line to check in was very short – the cabins were not ready when we boarded so we enjoyed a Mimosa and waited until they were ready. We had been upgraded to an Ocean View cabin on deck 2 and it was very nice – a huge window to see out and plenty of storage space. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the location. We spend little time in the cabin and it was conveniently located close to both the forward and midship elevators. It was very quiet. Read more
