Having just come back from an 11 day cruise on the Davina I can honestly say that the cruise itself was excellent , the vessel is fantastic cabins , bars , restaurant all very clean and the staff are more then helpful... Entertainment on the ship was excellent and all the bars had something happening at night which went along very nicely with our drinks package which also was great value for money as premium bottled beers and wine's where all to hand..

Now the bad bit which to me is very important when cruising FOOD , after 3 days in the restaurant all was ok albeit quantities were somewhat small but that was a minor point , however we did see the same food being served daily ? Pasta , Fish , Steak in fact for 4 days running I had broccoli soup and steak which really was boring as nothing seemed to change on the menu, this was the same for breakfast and lunch and after a few days it really drives you nuts.. Now they do have two speciality restaurants if you don't like Pasta and Steak at an extra cost of course and that is an Italian Restaurant ( serving pasta ) or a Steak house ( serving of course steak ) if 3 people where in these places over the entire cruise I could be exaggerating .. Now this ship is Italian Themed which I don't have a problem with however if I wanted Italian food day in day out I would have gone to Italy for my holidays ??..

Now like I said the cruise was great the ship was great the staff was great too, but unfortunately the head chef who got applauded into the theatre on the second night when we met the staff , needs to take into account that Italian Cuisine is really boring and I will never go Italian again .
