Embarkation: got off the Carnival Dream and walked to Norwegian terminal. Chaotic check-in as no one was checking in luggage when we arrived albeit quite early. Once we were able to get bags secured the rest of the process was O.K. We were on the ship by 11:00 and had lunch in our favorite Blue Lagoon. Walked around until about noon and were able to drop off carry-ons. We then left the ship for a couple hrs to walk around NOLA before we sailed.
Ship: sailed the ship in 2011 just prior to refurb. Seemed much the same. Showing her age a little. Clean but well kept. Larger pool than Carnival Dream but no slides or outdoor theater. Public spaces just as I remembered. Way less smoking/smokers than on the Dream thankfully. Like layout around pool deck for chairs better as well. Ship sailed smoother than the larger Dream.
Cabin: smaller than Dream w/ less overall storage. Comfortable bed. Would like to see on screen ability to check dining menu's and accounts like Carnival.
Cabin smaller than Carnival Dream w/ less storage in rm and bathroom. For some reason we were in a 4 person rm w/ under bed pop up bed and wall mounted bed that took up even more space. Bed was very comfortable though. We had an unusually less than attentive cabin steward. He threw away papers we were keeping and was late almost every night w/ turn down and so we were often in rm and so he would just drop off towels and the daily schedule. Otherwise cabin was O.K.
