We sailed 3 nights on the Diamond from Sydney back to Melbourne. This was a trial for us to see whether my wife liked it before considering a longer cruise with family. I have to say we both absolutely loved it.

Boarding was a breeze despite the terminal renovations in progress. Our boarding time was 2-00 however we went to check our bags at 1-30 and went straight on. We had a quick look around the ship and went up to Horizon Court for lunch. Then we fully explored the ship. We were amazed with the size and how beautiful the ship is. We enjoyed the MDR and the horizon court and used both several times. Also used the burger and pizza bars on the pool deck. Day 1 we did everything , 4 laps of the prom deck in the morning, gym ,bingo (twice) , comedian , beatles show in the theatre and then the liars club show. All were great. Day 2 we spent all morning lazing at the rear of the ship at the terrace pool and bar. My wife was concerned with getting seasick which she has in the past on ferries small boats etc. however she had no issues at all. In all we had a fantastic time and didnt want to get off. Staff were fantastic and friendly. Have already booked again for 12 nights with our kids.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BC

Cabin very nice and spacious enough for 2. Balcony great to sit on the afternoons. We took 2 bottles of wine onboard we drank out on the balcony in the late afternoons. Cabin attendant fantastic. Cabin is in a good location and we used the stairs to access everything (and to keep the weight off!).
