We found out after we returned that this cruise was nicknamed the "Spanish Sensation" and that name is very appropriate.
We left from San Juan and the rumor onboard was that many San Juan residents were either on the ship for free or at very discounted rates.
This cruise did cater to the Spanish population - everything was translated into Spanish - even the shows and the Captain's announcements.
The Room:We were in room 7291 which is a Promenade Stateroom that is mid-ship. We enjoyed the extra few feet for room that the window gave us and thought it was a nice upgrade from a regular interior room. The decor was dated - all mauves and teals. It needed new paint, carpet and upholstery. Bed was comfortable. Shower was painfully small. Closet was larger than expected. Mini fridge & hairdryer were nice additions. We brought a sound machine with to help with sleeping and to distract from noise at night. We didn't notice any noise expect on the day they were having the 70's Disco Party down in the Promenade, however, the party was over by midnight. We had a door in our room that connected to the neighboring room. The whole frame was wrapped in masking tape and even with the tape light did shine through the door. This was odd.All in all, we would stay in this room again.
