First I want to preference this with I LOVE ROYAL CARIBBEAN and tend not to be a Debbie downer. but I would have rather spent 3000$ on another ship or a trip to Hawaii.
Things that Royal had no control over was the weather and the ports of call. It was 50 degrees at Cape Canaveral and raining, In Nassau it was 69 degrees and over cast and the seas were too rough for coco cay. Not Royals fault but it did not help the experience.
The Major issue was this was booked as an inaugural cruise. There was NOTHING special about besides you got a certificate and you got to see Sonic Odyssey first ( Which was a GREAT show). We picked this trip because we thought there would be lots of special things, like Kristen Chenawith performing, Penn and teller performing, Fire works, Fire boats with water cannons, gifts, ceremonies and pomp and circumstance. There was non of that. If we had known this ahead of time we would have not picked this route as the destinations were not that great and we did not get any warm weather.
The room was not bad. It was not set up like a typical Grand Suite. For example there was no place to have guests sit ( We like to host cocktail hour). We had a couch but it faced a TV. Our balcony had 2 normal chairs and 2 half loungers with ottomans. There was no table so when we ordered room service we could not eat outside ( and had to eat over a coffee table) The bathroom was HUGE, which is nice but we did not need the space, We would have like a larger sitting area and dry bar. Storage was fine and location to elevator was GREAT.
