A group of six family and friends of mine just got back from a seven day cruise on the Carnival Dream. By far, the Dream was the largest ship I had ever been on. We walked a lot from one end to the other of the ship. It was clean and well organized. We had a balcony room which was great. I loved sitting out on the balcony and since our friends were next door, we had the door between the two balconies opened so we had much more room. Too bad the weather was awful. . rain and clouds most of the time. But we had fun!! We used the daily schedule to find a variety of things to do. The food was, as everyone always says, was incredible. We ate every night in the dining room and had a variety of upscale things to try. We were not disappointed with most every dish at our table, and our wait staff (Marie, Dennis and Esther) were incredible. They were very accommodating. I had a massage in the Spa one day and it was nice, esp. the hot stone massage part.

We signed up for excursions. The one in Nassau at the beach was cancelled because of rain, so we picked p an excursion at the port with "Big T" and had a great time seeing Nassau. The next day in Freeport, we took the tour I would never recommend to anyone. It was boring. We toured Freeport neighborhoods to see the houses, went to a nature park area and hiked to a pond, and then to a church, and then to shop at the Lucaya marketplace. We only had an hour at the marketplace and most of the time was spent getting some lunch. There were not just market stalls, but real stores to shop in and we didn't get to do any of that. The sun shown that day and we wished we had gone to the beach instead.

All in all a good trip. Because of weather some things were affected, but with creativity we kept busy.
