We had never "cruised" before. I wasn't sure I was a "cruise guy." The thought of eating breakfast with 2500 other people didn't excite me. Could not have been more wrong. It was only 1000!
The food was great, weather more than acceptable, and the fellow travelers as agreeable as you wanted them to be.
We were on deck 12 (resort deck), room 2102 (starboard side). This is a very good room with a great view of the inside passage going north. It is one floor below the large OceanView Cafe which made meals quite accessible. This is the final stateroom on the starboard side before entering the public area of deck 12. It was nevertheless very quiet. The only drawback, if there was one, was the occasional (rare) odor of sewer gas - very slight and only twice - from the ladies restroom which was the next area toward the front of the ship. The beds in this concierge class room are very comfortable and we can be a bit picky about bedding.
